Kirari Mukai (無飼 流星群, Mukai Kirari) is an esper and a former member of Claw who was the youngest member of the upper echelon called "Scar".

Appearance

Mukai is a little girl with ginger hair that she wears in an unusual combination of four braids and a bun, blue eyes with thick eyelashes, dots for eyebrows, and a scar on the left side of her face.

She wears a pink shirt with white scalloped edges on the cuffs and collar, a light plaid skirt, tall socks, and black shoes.

Mukai is upbeat and excited to find someone new to play with.

Plot

7th Division Arc

Mukai sent her puppets to apprehend Mob and skipped off toward him, excited to play with someone new. After Mob reduced her whole horde of puppets to splinters, she returned to Tsuchiya in tears, defeated.

World Domination Arc

Mukai and her puppets later reappeared, seeking revenge on Suzuki, who had apparently burned down the trees from which her puppets were made. She also joined in the fray against Shimazaki of the Ultimate 5.

Powers & Abilities

Mukai's Ability
	Psychic Puppetry Mukai can remotely control large numbers of wooden mannequin-like puppets. Her control over them is so strong that even if she gets knocked out and the mind signal is lost, the puppets will continue their assigned tasks until they are destroyed. Her power has been likened to controlling an undead army.

Etymology

• The surname Mukai means "nothing, naught" (無) (mu) and "domesticate, raise, keep/keeping, feed" (飼) (kai).
• The given name Kirari can mean "meteor shower" (流星群) (kirari) or "current, a sink, flow, forfeit" (流) (ki), "star, spot, dot, mark" (星) (ra) and "flock, group, crowd, herd, swarm, cluster" (群) (ri).
