"Discord ~To Become One~" is the sixth episode of the Mob Psycho 100 anime adaptation.
Synopsis[]
Ritsu and Shinji frame Tenga as a pervert to begin their big cleanup of the school. Meanwhile, Ritsu is mistaken for his brother and is introduced to Mitsuura's Awakening Lab.
Summary[]
Reigen performs a seance with a client named Hitoshi. He connects with Hitoshi's father, but learning that he is American, Arataka explains that language is automatically translated for an extra fee, but Hitoshi was fine speaking in English. Arataka still proceeds in Japanese, and Hitoshi asks his father for the password of his safe. As Arataka can't guess that and Hiroshi points a knife at him, he knocks him out and explains that it was self-defense. Mob wonders if he can use his powers in self-defense, like shaving someone's head, stripping him naked, making him lose his friends, and destroying his school. Arataka comments that's too much for self-defense, but encourages Mob by telling him that his powers are helping people.
Ichi Mezato speaks with Mob, figuring out that Teruki is also a psychic, and they had a battle at Black Vinegar Middle School, but Mob refuses to speak about it. Tome overhears this and asks Mob if there are other psychics like him and Mob confirms it, although he hasn't seen any other psychics and he can't sense his master as his powers are supernatural, not psychic. Tome wants to go out with Mob, and they look for other telepathic people. He ends up going out a couple of times with her, and he eventually sees an adult psychic, but as he feels dangerous, he doesn't tell her about it.
Meanwhile, Tenga looks for the one that beat the shadow leader Teruki and wants to make him their shadow leader. Goda refuses to tell him who did it. He later meets Mob and apologizes for the trouble he got him in with Black Vinegar Middle School, but Ritsu sees their encounter and thinks that Tenga was bullying Mob. At the Student Council meeting, he proposes that they discipline the delinquents and make a peaceful school, and his idea is accepted. Going home, Ritsu is approached by Kenji Mitsuura, who mistakes him for Mob and invites him to his Awakening Lab to amplify his psychic powers. The next day, Ritsu goes to the Awakening Lab, where he finds five other psychics, but he is disappointed at how weak and useless their powers are.
At home, Shinji, the student council president, is mocked by his brother and mother at how useless he is compared to his perfect brother. The next day, he calls Ritsu and plants a girls recorder on Tenga's desk, explaining that they will get rid of the delinquent and then displace all the other recorders. Meanwhile, Tenga is with Musashi Goda, who attempts to change Tenga, and he accepts the challenge. In the classroom, the students were getting upset as someone messed with their recorders, and Shinji explained they would look into it. Tenga enters the room, and Ritsu finds parts of the recorders on his desk. Shinji blames Tenga and Ritsu finds more recorders in his bag. Tenga tries to deny it, but everyone starts calling him a pervert. Consequently, Tenga loses his perfect attendance.
At the Awakening Lab, Ritsu recalls how Shinji laughs seeing Tenga's face in that situation. He gets frustrated at himself for doing that and leaves, saying he doesn't have psychic powers. He meets Arataka Reigen, who explains he will exorcise a spirit and asks Ritsu if he wants to come too, but Ritsu tells him he doesn't have psychic powers like his older brother. Kenji sees the spoon Ritsu threw twisted and realizes he has psychic powers. Reaching home, Ritsu sees Dimple and wonders what he is.
