Plot[]
Mob meets Serizawa on his way to the top of the Cultural Tower, who refuses to let him pass. He doe; however, allows Prime Minister Yabe to be released, of who he had no clue of his identity. Although Serizawa was ignorant of Suzuki's misdeeds, he believed him to be a just paragon. A flashback from three years ago shows when Serizawa first encountered his boss and how he was recruited into his organization after being a withdrawn person for many years. After hearing Serizawa's story, Mob claims that Serizawa has been used all of his life by Suzuki, and Dimple claims it's ironic for Mob to say that. The tension between them starts to escalate, and a fight between the two, and Dimple steals Serizawa's umbrella in one opportunity. However, this causes Serizawa to have an electric anxiety attack and makes Mob realize that he relies on his umbrella for emotional protection. Hence Mob tries to reason with Serizawa, but he refuses to believe the words of a middle school student compared to a grown adult like him. Not to mention, his potent powers have caused a major disparity between himself and people, which made him yearn for friends of his own. Understanding and relating with how Serizawa feels, Mob sends his feelings to Serizawa, revealing to him they have more in common. Because of that, they become friends.
On the tower's top floor, Sho lays on the ground, beaten and bruised by his father Suzuki. In respect for his son, Suzuki reveals that the Claw Soldiers all have a fraction of his power, and he has to give or absorb the energy of others at his disposal. Reabsorbing his power from the Claw Soldiers, Suzuki creates a destructive orb of energy pointed at Sho, but Mob enters the scene without any intention to fight. Suzuki and Mob talk about a small range of subjects, and Sho intervenes, warning him of his father's secret ability. Mob then gives Sho some of his energy, which allows him to stand up and walk away; however, Suzuki then incapacitates Mob, recognizing him as his enemy. Suzuki then takes out his son and kicks Dimple away, much to Mob's dismay.
Down on the ground, Ritsu, Teru, the former Scar Members, Sho's subordinates, and Reigen talk about Mob's chances. Just then, a paper-thin Dimple falls to the ground and weakly informs the group of the situation at hand. Clicking his tongue, Reigen asks Sakurai for a favor.
Returning to Mob and Suzuki, they stall their fight and debate on the value of people regardless of whether or not they have ESP or not. Their conversation goes nowhere, Mob tries to restrain Suzuki, but he breaks free and delivers hard punches to Mob, leaving him badly bruised. Before Suzuki can finish Mob off, Reigen arrives armed with Suzuki's Jugan. Reigen fires off a shot, but it's ineffective, so he talks to Mob, then with the boss, only to punch him suddenly. Unfortunately, Toichiro evades the attack by using an ethereal clone and uses one of his powers to blow Reigen up. Distraught over the appeared loss of Reigen, Serizawa appeared at the last moment, rescuing him from the explosion. At that moment, Mob hits 100% (Rage), and decides to seriously fight Suzuki, who then tries to kill Reigen, Serizawa, and Sho. All of them fall out from on top of the Seasoning Cultural Tower, but they are saved by Minegishi. Then Toichiro starts shooting at Mob's friends. Hence, Mob uses his Telekinesis to raise the top of the tower into the sky, isolating both him and Suzuki from the ground below to allow the luxury of fighting the other without disruption.

Anime and Manga Differences[]
- In the anime, Serizawa, in his flashback, is seen playing video games, while in the manga, he was sitting in the corner.
- Toichiro talking with Serizawa's mother in the flashback is omitted.
- In the manga, when Mob first appears before Toichiro, Sho mistakes him for Ritsu.
- In the manga, when Toichiro sees that Mob has the same power as his, he makes him unconscious with his first attack. Then, when he tries to kill him, Dimple possesses Mob's body and punches Toichiro in the face. After a fast beating, Dimple is pushed out of Mob's body and then saved by Mob, who regains consciousness again.
- In the manga, Toichiro strikes Serizawa's umbrella three times. First, with a normal attack, then with 3% output, and then with 4% output. Only the last attack destroys the umbrella. In the anime, Toichiro destroys the umbrella with his first attack.
- The scene where Toichiro uses Serizawa as a "spare battery" and steals his energy is omitted.
- Due to cutting out the Antenna Team from the anime, they don't fall from Cultural Tower with Reigen, Sho, and Serizawa, as they did in the manga.
