Master ~Leader~ is the eleventh episode of the Mob Psycho 100 anime adaptation.
Synopsis[]
Mob, Ritsu, and Teru are trapped in a room where they can't use their powers. And then, someone rather unexpected shows up in front of them: Mob's master and self-proclaimed psychic, Reigen. Somehow, Reigen is mistakenly thought of as Claw's boss and easily manages to get inside and save Mob and the others. However, there is no way that Ishiguro would let them get away with this. As they try to escape the 7th Division, the Upper Echelon stands in their way.
Summary[]
A dream depicts Mob when he got lost in the forest with his brother Ritsu, and how Ritsu figured their way out. Awakening in a room with Ritsu and Teruki, Mob is glad that Ritsu is fine. Teruki says they can't use powers in the room, but Mob is sure that Ritsu can think of something.
The Upper Echelon members plan on making Mob and the others their new members after brainwashing them, but Sho tells them they will be recruited to the HQ. Meanwhile, Arataka follows Mob's GPS and finds the building he is in. The guards stop him as he looks suspicious, but as he acts important and bossy, saying he is there to talk work with his subordinate, they assume he means the 7th division leader and that he is Claw's boss. Entering the building, he sees the kids trying to escape and scolds the guards for their actions. They take him to Mob's group, and everyone is shocked to learn that the "boss" is Mob's master. He tells them to release them and starts heading out, but the Upper Echelon shows up, hearing that the boss has come. Seeing Arataka, they wonder who he was, and he introduces himself. Ishiguro attacks him, but Teruki creates a barrier. As the guards were in the attack range and assumed they were following Arataka, he informed them to leave and save themselves. Mob heads to fight Ishiguro, but seeing he intends to use psychic powers, Arataka dropkicks Ishiguro, reminding Mob of his rule to not use powers on humans. Having no choice, he decides to fight the Echelon members himself and punches Muraki. His plan backfires, making the enemy angry with Ishiguro for releasing his powers and destroying a part of the facility. The other members then engage Mob, Ritsu, and Teruki in a fight. Arataka keeps telling Mob not to fight them and run, while Teruki and Ritsu tell him only he can fight them using his full power. Witnessing them all get hurt and not wanting them to die, Mob's murderous intent reaches 100%, but Arataka slaps him bringing him back to his senses and telling him not to do it as he will suffer later.
Mob recalls how he met Arataka. Seeing his sign, he comes to his office, saying he has psychic powers. Arataka thought someone wanted to joke with him, but invited Mob and explained that espers are like ordinary people and he needs to be a good person. As he drops his cup of tea, Mob catches it using his psychic powers. Arataka then realizes Mob has powers and invites him to start coming daily to show him how to exorcise spirits.
Back in the present, Yusuke gets behind Arataka and slashes him with his sword, making Arataka fall in front of Mob.
